The Lee Theatre Plaza Project consisted of the carrying out of major A&A Works to the existing building between B/2 and 4/F levels. The major aspects to the refurbishment were the relocation of the existing main entrance at the junction of Percival Street & Sharp Street East along with the major alterations of the Matheson street entrance, so as to increase its commercial visibility. There were various reconfigurations of the services, lift and escalator routes throughout the building.
The site was located between Percival Street, Sharp Street East and Matheson Street in the bustling Causeway Bay shopping and commercial district and required faultless logistics and planning to execute, and was divided into multiple phases to accomplish.
Considerable emphasis was placed on traffic management around the works site, protective hoardings to the footpaths, designed temporary roofing, propping, noisy work control and protected access routes throughout the work.
