Projexasia (Macau) was appointed as design-build contractors for the prestigious MGM Lion statue in September 2006. The project involved the artistic design, modeling and casting in silicone bronze of the 10 metre high statue. It also included the engineering design and statutory approval of the complex steel substructure complete with a 3 metre high stone dais. The work was officially unveiled on 15th October 2007 This statue is a major feature of the new MGM Grand Casino in Macau and a new iconic landmark for Macau.
